Clare Poston is an associate attorney at Tharrington Smith practicing in the field of family law. She graduated Cum Laude from Campbell University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree after earning her BA in Communications and Journalism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. While at Campbell, Clare served as the Symposium Editor for the Law Review and was heavily involved in the Restorative Justice Clinic. Clare has worked as a legal intern for the Wake County Public Defender’s Office-Juvenile Court and the Wake County District Attorney’s Office. She has also spent time as a law clerk for Judge Lucy Inman at the North Carolina Court of Appeals and was a managing partner for the Domestic Violence Advocacy Project (DVAP), where she represented victims of domestic violence in court at DVPO hearings and worked as a liaison to provide victims with legal representation.
Clare is a traveler who enjoys pickleball, running, skiing, hiking, and trying new restaurants. She loves spending time with her husband Nick and their springer spaniels, Murph and Hank.
