Raleigh, NC – October 20, 2025– Tharrington Smith, LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Hannah Litty as an Associate in the firm’s Family Law practice.
Hannah graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2025, earning a reputation for excellence in both academics and practical legal experience. During law school, she served as Executive Editor of the North Carolina Journal of International Law, participated in the Pro Bono Program, and gained hands-on experience through the Domestic and Sexual Violence Clinic. She also completed internships with the United States Department of Justice, the United States Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C., the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, and the North Carolina Court of Appeals.

In addition to her legal achievements, Hannah graduated cum laude from Auburn University with a B.S. in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. She has been recognized with a Merit Certificate for Highest Achievement in the Domestic & Sexual Violence Clinic and has completed over 200 hours of pro bono work. She has also published scholarship on international human rights issues, including The Taliban’s ‘Gender Apartheid’: The Reality of Women in Afghanistan.
