Alice Stubbs wins USTA North Carolina J.S. Love Adult Tennis Female Player of the Year Award

Please join the firm in congratulating Family Law Section partner, Alice Stubbs, who has been chosen as the 2019 USTA North Carolina J.S. Love Adult Tennis Female Player of the Year. This award is given in to a player who has won a state, sectional, or national title in NTRP tournament play in the last year while demonstrating outstanding full-season performance with character, sportsmanship, tennis ability, and a passion for competition. Alice will receive her award formally at the 2020 Tennis Weekend Awards luncheon in Pinehurst. Alice has been an avid tennis enthusiast and competitor for more than 40 years.

USTA North Carolina is the state affiliate of the United States Tennis Association in North Carolina and is the sister organization to the North Carolina Tennis Association. The USTA NC and the NC Tennis Foundation are charged with the singular mission of promoting and developing the game of tennis in North Carolina. The Foundation also provides financial support to many worthwhile tennis programs across the state, including the National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) Network, the NC State High School Championships, Wheelchair Tennis, numerous grants, and maintenance of the North Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame.

Alice Stubbs is a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law, a Certified Family Financial Mediator, and a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She focuses her practice exclusively in the area of family law and divorce. Alice has been continuously included in both Best Lawyers in America’s Family Law Section and North Carolina Super Lawyers since 2010 and on Super Lawyers Top 50 Women Attorneys list since 2017. This summer, she was profiled by the NC Lawyers Weekly as one of the 2019 Women of Justice. A former district court judge, Alice has been appointed to serve on numerous boards and committees focusing on legal governance and oversight.
