An open letter from Wade Smith, May 2016

The firm is pleased to learn that Fred Morelock has been appointed to chair the Disciplinary Hearing Commission of the State Bar. This is a key role in the affairs of the bar and it speaks to the leadership that Fred has provided at the State Bar level. We add this honor to that which our firm received when Jaye Meyer became Chair of the Board of Law Examiners. Thanks to both Fred and Jaye for their service to our profession.

We are so proud of them and of everyone here at TS. We know that there are heroic deeds each day in the courts, and in hearings and mediations, and advice to school boards, educational institutions and city councils, and all kinds of ways in which we serve our clients and our communities.

We know that after stellar cross examinations and closing statements, and leadership to boards and institutions, and terrific work from our staff, we often quietly return to the office and no one here ever really knows of these deeds. So many of these great pieces of work are ones in which we never have a chance to raise a flag of recognition. But each of these deeds adds to the reputation that we all enjoy. Excellence in our work, service to our communities, leadership to clients, these are themes we have stressed for 50 years.

Upward and onward.
Wade
