Special Agents of the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS advised a North Carolina businessman today that they were dropping their criminal investigation of tax returns filed on behalf of his business. At issue were hundreds of thousands of dollars of alleged improper expenses deductions.
The businessman was represented by Douglas E. Kingsbery of Tharrington Smith, L.L.P. in Raleigh, North Carolina.
