After a lengthy investigation by Special Agents of the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS, a North Carolina businessman was advised today that the IRS was dropping its investigation. The case involved allegations of willful failure to file income tax returns and to timely pay millions of dollars in federal income taxes.
The businessman was represented by Douglas E. Kingsbery of Tharrington Smith, L.L.P. in Raleigh, North Carolina.
