On May 13, 2011, Lynn P. Burleson presented the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Outstanding Family Law Student Award to Paula Etheridge Murray at the Campbell University School of Law graduation ceremony. This is an award given each year by the North Carolina Chapter of the Academy to an outstanding graduating law student at each participating North Carolina law school who most exemplifies the ideals of the Academy while in law school. The student receiving the award receives a plaque and a check from the Academy.
