Tharrington Smith Celebrates a Night at the Ballpark

It wasn’t but just a week ago and the attorneys, staff and families of Tharrington Smith got together at the Durham Bulls ballpark for a late-Spring evening game. Stories from the game have been prevalent this whole week around the office, so we thought it would be fun to share some pictures. Though the rain threatened to dampen the celebration, there was a great turnout from the firm for the sold-out contest between the home-team favorites, the Durham Bulls, and the nationally-popular, visiting Pawtucket (RI) Pawsox.

The game featured several major league stars currently assigned to the Minor Leagues for various reasons. Sent to Pawtucket to recover from Tommy John surgery and to regain his major league edge, the Triangle welcomed Daisuke Matsuzaka to the ballpark and showed true Southern Hospitality by dinging him for two home runs and five total runs, sending him back to Rhode Island with his first loss of the season. Visiting the Bulls this season is fellow Japanese major league legend Hideki Matsui who scored a run off his fellow countryman “Dice-K,” and whose jersey could be seen on fans throughout the stands. With all of this fan fare and excitement on the field, the Tharrington Smith contingent was treated to a 5-0 shutout win by the home team and everyone had a good time.

“After a hard day of work, it is good to get a night out with our families and enjoy a Durham Bulls game together,” said Tharrington Smith paralegal Diana Hasegawa-Brown who attended the game with her family.
