Tharrington Smith Supports 4All Service Day 2020

March 6 is the 13th Annual 4All Service Day, a joint initiative of the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Foundation. The 4All service program engages more than 500 volunteer lawyers from across the state to provide free legal information and referral resources to thousands of North Carolina citizens free of charge. This year the annual call-in program will be hosted by regional television stations from Asheville, Charlotte, Fayetteville, Greensboro, Greenville, Raleigh, and Wilmington. These media partners have the capacity to advertise the call-in number for their areas to broad audiences in real-time. This service event takes place from 7 AM to 7 PM each year on the first Friday of March.

“We are proud supporters of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Foundation, and the various committees and service programs they sponsor. Our lawyers participate in community events like this every year,” says Kris Gardner, of the firm’s Civil Litigation Section. In 2020, Mr. Gardner, Russell Babb and Roger Smith Jr. from the firm’s criminal defense department, and Melanie Pfeifer from the family law department, will be participating from the WRAL studios in Raleigh.

We support excellence in our profession, the arts, education, and the community through professional service and financial support. “We care about people, not cases” isn’t just a tagline. The 4All Service Day is a part of each of these cornerstone ideals.

Our practice is broad and includes core focus in criminal law, taxation and seizure, family law, education law, complex civil litigation matters, and dispute resolution. Commonly associated by our peers to assist with complex matters, our volunteer lawyers will bring vast experience and resources to the 4All Service Day.
