Roger Smith Jr. is a partner in the criminal law section of the firm. He is an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated Lawyer, is recognized by Best Lawyers in America in two criminal defense categories and appears in the North Carolina Super Lawyers list. He has been practicing criminal defense law at the firm since 1999. 2019 marks Roger’s first inclusion in the Business North Carolina Legal Elite.
Alice Stubbs is a partner in the firm’s Family Law Section. Mrs. Stubbs came to Tharrington Smith in 2006 from the 10th Judicial District Court, where she served as district court judge for more than 2 terms. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Family Law, a Certified Family Financial Mediator, and an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated Lawyer. She has been included in the Family Law section of Best Lawyers in America® and North Carolina Super Lawyers since 2010, and has been previously honored by the Business North Carolina Legal Elite Family Law Section seven times.
Evan Horwitz is also a partner in the firm’s Family Law Section.
