Meet Melissa Michaud
Melissa Michaud is a partner in Tharrington Smith’s Education Law Section. She advises school systems regarding personnel matters, investigations, and compliance issues and represents school board clients in federal administrative investigations and in state and federal court litigation. Shortly after earning her undergraduate degree from Brown University in 2004, Melissa joined Teach for America and taught middle school in eastern North Carolina. She graduated from law school in 2009 with high honors and joined Tharrington Smith in 2013. Melissa is an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Education Section.
