The U. S. Department of Justice announced today that it was killing the IRS’s recommended criminal prosecution of a North Carolina businessman. The investigation had centered on alleged abusive trusts which sheltered practically all of the man’s income for several years.
The businessman was represented by Douglas E. Kingsbery of Tharrington Smith, L.L.P. in Raleigh, North Carolina.
