Lindsay Vance Smith is a graduate with high honors from University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill, where she served as staff member and editor of North Carolina Law Review., She holds a Master of Fine Arts Creative Writing from North Carolina State University. Prior to law school, Lindsay was a teacher of literature and creative writing at both the primary and secondary education levels. Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable Albert Diaz at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and spent two years as a litigation associate at the Washington, D.C., office of a global law firm. Lindsay joined the firm’s Education Law Section in late summer.

Casey Fidler is a 2017 graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law, where she served as Executive Editor of the Wake Forest Law Review, a member of the Moot Court Board and student advocate in the Elder Law Clinic. She holds a BA with highest distinction in Journalism and Mass Communication with a second major in Political Science from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Casey joined the Family Law Section upon being sworn to the North Carolina State Bar early this fall.
