Raleigh, N.C., January 30, 2023 – Tharrington Smith, LLP is pleased to announce the addition of attorney Rebecca Fisher-Gabbard to the firm’s education law section. Fisher-Gabbard’s impressive qualifications and legal expertise make her an ideal candidate for the firm’s flourishing education practice.
Fisher-Gabbard received her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During this time, she served as a member of the Pro Bono Board, president of the Education Law and Policy Society, and Comments Editor for the North Carolina Law Review. Professionally, Fisher-Gabbard has worked as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lucy N. Inman at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Before attending law school, she was a program assistant for Communities in Schools Charlotte-Mecklenburg and a volunteer custody advocate for the Council for Children’s Rights.
“My own public schooling and professional experiences sparked my passion for education law,” Fisher-Gabbard says. “I am thrilled to begin my practice representing our state’s public schools alongside the dedicated team of attorneys at Tharrington Smith.”
