Raleigh, N.C., February 15,  2023 – Tharrington Smith, LLP is pleased to welcome attorney Sharon Lin to the firm’s education section. Following her graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with BAs in International Studies and Asian Studies, Lin went on to receive her Juris Doctor degree from the same institution’s School of Law. She was admitted to the bar shortly after her graduation in 2015. While in law school, Lin served as President of the Asian American Law Student Association and as a staff member of the First Amendment Law Review. In addition, she completed internships with the UNC Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity (now the North Carolina Poverty Research Fund) and the Legal Aid of North Carolina – Wilmington Office.

“I am honored to join such a respected team that advocates for North Carolina’s public school system,” Lin says. “As someone who attended and benefitted from NC public schools from elementary through law school, I am motivated to provide this institution with the best possible legal representation.”
